Va spuneam ieri de mega-interviul pe care il pregatim si iata ca azi aflati despre cine este vorba: KAT DELUNA. Vedeta internationala ce tocmai a lansat Dance Bailalo, viitorul imn al verii 2009 a dat un interviu in exclusivitate pentru DivercityCafe in care a vorbit despre:

• sample-ul din Dance Bailalo, cand si unde se va filma videoclipul;

•noul album;

Hi Kat, how did you spend your Easter holidays, what did the Easter Bunny brought you ?

It was great.

I didn’t really do anything.

Just slept a lot.

Many people are confused: Is Dance Bailalo the first single of your new album?

Dance bailalo is the first single, I couldn’t use “Unstoppable” because there was a movie that brought the rights to the song, as an exclusive. And I decided to change the sound of my whole album after that.

Inside Out it’s more worldly now. I think this album is going to put all my fans on their feet, I recorded some crazy uptempo for them.

Is Dance Bailalo sampling any other Brazilian-themed songs or is it using the national folklore to empower it?

Well “Dance bailalo” is one of the songs that you will play 10 years down the line.

The Productions company that I signed to (GMB) signed this new young producer by the name of “Eighty Six” from Belgium who produced the song.

Knew that I was a big fan of Sergio Mendes so he decided to create something special for me.

And From Perez Hilton and all my fans around the world are doing their dance move to “Dance bailalo” already.

I am so happy that the song has been excepted by so many people around the world. It makes me feel so happy to hear that the feed-back from all my fans is positive.

When is Dance Bailalo video filming (coming out) and what scenario do you plan on surprising us with?

The video will be shooting soon.

I have three locations on my head right now.

Brazil, Dominican Republic, or Cuba.

A lot of dancing from Samba to Hip hop and Capoeira, it should be very entertaining.

Please tell us more details about the Inside Out album and a more specific launch date that “this summer”. What style are the songs, are you happy with the rock beat on Unstoppable and what influences do the other songs have?

This new album has nothing to do with Rock, like I said I changed the whole album sound after Unstoppable was brought for the movie.

“Inside Out” means English and Spanish, the both sides of me.

So get ready to dance some bachata, it’s a worldly album.

I took my time to deliver a classic album, because all my fans deserve good music.

Every song on there will keep you up on your feet.

What hot collaborations do you plan for this new effort?

I am not doing any collabos on this album. 100% pure Kat Deluna.

How did you start to work with Lil Wayne?

My management had sent him the song he loves it, and the rest was history.

Are yo going to start a promotional tour for the album and if so, are you planning on coming back to Romania?

Yes soon I will do that. Of course Romania is home, i have a lot of fans there.

And I can’t wait to comeback.

You have an up-to-date twitter account, a cool Myspace and a hot site. How do you think online promotion helps an artist nowadays?

Online is a perfect way nowadays for artists, specially new artists like myself, it helps you connect with people more and keep you in contact with all your fans that are online.

Album sales are dropping by the year in most countries. How do you plan to monetize your image and what do you think an artist should do to continue making great music and earning great revenue as well?

Well your fans are the key, they support you, instead of downloading for free they must support the album, that’s the only way music will stay alive. We, as artists, are forced to deliver great materials.

You have to be a brand but true talent is a must.

Did you thought about launching yourself locally?

I would love too specially for all the great fans that I have out there.

When making music do you also take part in the creation process? Writing, production, mastering?

Of course, I co-wrote my whole album. I am very hands on when it comes to my music.

It’s very personal to me, everything I delivere comes from the heart.

What happened with Calling You? It is a marvelous song, do you plan on promoting it?

Calling you will be on the album, one of my favorite songs on the album.

You have a lot of fans. Did you have any problems with them, did someone send you any unusual gifts, asked you for an inappropriate autograph or to marry him?

I haven’t received any crazy things from them, they are very nice.

Is your personal music and fashion style influenced by someone? Do you work with a fashion stylist and if so who?

I love fashion but i am the one to tell the stylist what i want and what suits me the most.

How is the real Kat DeLuna? What’s your style when you’re not performing, what cocktails and foods do you like, do you have any pets and what are your favorite places for a vacation?

I love to vacation back home in the Dominican Republic, we have great beaches, and I cook at home when i have some free time.

I have no pets but need a dog soon.

I am lonely sometimes.

Do you like acting, are you planning on taking a small role any time soon?

I love acting but until i reach number one in music i am not thinking about it .

Do you have a boyfriend and if not why?

Not yet.

Boys can equal problems, I rather concentrate on my music for now.

What do you do in your free time, do you have any? How do you relax and what are your hobbies?

I love to read, watch a lot of old movies.

And I always listen to old tunes music for inspirations.
